Tinguely's Carnival Fountain
The Carnival fountain in Basel (Switzerland) is an artwork by Jean Tinguely, inaugurated in June 1977. It is situated on the municipal theatre esplanade and has ten machine sculptures in a water basin. These are moved by motors and spray water jets through the air.
